About VillasimiusVillasimius is a beautiful seaside resort in south east Sardinia, located about 35 km east of Cagliari. The popular beaches in Villasimius include Porto Sa Ruxi, Campus, Cala Caterina, Simius, Punta Molentis, Spiaggia del Riso, Piscadeddus, Cala Burroni, Porto Giunco and Timi Ama. Many of the beaches are perfectly protected from the sea currents and offer an abundance of marine animals and plants. Villasimius also has many discos, night clubs, restaurants and pizzerias to enjoy. The nearby Capo Carbonara has a recently restored and modernised marina for yachtsmen who choose to visit this corner of paradise by boat. It is the point of departure for cruises around the coast and offers places for up to 750 boats up to 25 meters in length. Behind the village is the protected area Sette Fradis Park. This is a beautiful forest of oaks and arbutus trees, which is populated by deer, golden eagles, boars and some endemic species like the Sardinian geotriton or the wild cat.
