About Madonna di CampiglioMadonna di Campiglio is a discreet and elegant town in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. The town sits at an altitude of 1550 metres in the stupendous valley between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello and Presanella. It is recognised as Italy's number one ski resort as well as one of the most important resorts in the Alps. The variety of its mountain surroundings mean that in winter it is possible to ski over many kilometres of runs, up to an altitude of 2600 metres, with various levels of difficulty. Madona di Campiglio boasts 57 lifts and 150 km of ski runs, with a capacity of more than 31,000 people per hour. The resort's ski area covers 50,000 square metres of snow park, 40 kilometres for Nordic skiing and, from winter 2011/2012, skiers will be able to link up to the pistes in Pinzolo (along with the existing link to Folgarida and Marilleva).
