Autumn/Winter Exhibitions in Rome

There are an exciting number of art exhibitions coming up in Rome, celebrating sketches, paintings, sculptures and engraved works. Here is our selection of some of the best autumn/winter exhibitions for 2015 and 2016.

What: Toulouse-Lautrec
Where: Ara Pacis Museum
When: 3rd December 2015 – 3rd May 2016

More details: An exhibition of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec’s post-impressionist artwork will be on display, edited by Zsuzsa Gonda and Kata Bodor.


What: Tissot
Where: Chiostro del Bramante
When: 26th September 2015 – 21st February 2016

More details: An exhibition dedicated to the work of James Tissot will be on displayed, edited by Cyrille Swarm and organised by the Arthemisia Group.


What: Raffaello, Parmigianino, Barocci
Where: Musei Capitolini
When: 2nd October 2015 – 10th January 2016

More details: An exhibition comparing the works of Raffaello, Parmigianino and Barocci. A selection of drawings and prints will be on display, alongside paintings and some ancient sculptures.


What: Maurice Denis
Where: Galleria Nazione d´Arte Moderna
When: 20th November 2015 – 3rd April 2016

More details: The work of Maurice Denis will be on display, with over one hundred works by the French leader of Symbolism available to view. The exhibition is in collaboration with the Musée Départemental Maurice Denis Saint-Germain-en-Laye.


What: Henry Moore
Where: Museo Nazionale Romano alle Terme di Diocleziano
When: 24th September 2015 – 10th January 2016

More details: In collaboration with the Tate Gallery in London, a selection of sculptures by the great Henry Moore will be on display with some sketches and drawings completing the collection.
