Postepay Sound "Rock in Roma" Line-up

Postepay Sound "Rock in Roma" is a major music event that takes place in central Rome every year during the summer months, attracting some of the world's biggest rock bands, including Kasabian and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

In 2017, the 9th edition of the Rock in Roma festival will kick off on 23rd June and will continue until 2nd August, making this summer the ultimate time to visit the Eternal City if you love rock music. The line-up for Rock in Roma 2017 has recently been announced and this year includes major rock groups, heavy metal bands and rap acts, as well as several other genres of music. Damian Marley (Jamaican reggae artist and youngest son of Bob Marley) will open the event on 23rd June, followed by a diverse range of performers. 4th July: Brunori Sas (Italian singer)
5th July: Alter Bridge (rock) and Blues Pills
6th July: Mannarino, Orchestraccia, Rogê, Lavinia Mancusi and Batuqueiros di Roma
8th July: J-Ax (rap) and Fedez
9th July: Ms Lauryn Hill (rap)
10th July: The xx (English indie rock band)
13th July: Marra / Guè (Italian rappers)
17th July: Einstürzende Neubauten (German band) and Spiritual Front
20th July: Red Hot Chili Peppers (American rock) and Knower
21st July: Kasabian (English rock)
22nd July: Phoenix (French alternative rock)
25th July: Marilyn Manson (metal)
27th July: Afterhours (Italian alternative rock band)
29th July: Lo Stato Sociale (electropop) and Ex-Otago

2nd August: The Offspring (American punk rock), Pennywise and Millencolin

Note that the music concert will be held at the Rome racecourse near Ciampino and there will be special trains connecting Termini (in central Rome) and Capannelle (the nearest train station to the racecourse) for the major performers.
