Rome's Riverside Night Market: The Meeting Place for the Summer

If you’re visiting Rome during summer 2017, head to Lungotevere Gianicolense on the Tiber River for the opportunity to buy local products and sip cocktails at the iconic Riverside Night Market.

antipasti2.jpgThe Riverside Market is an up-and-coming summer event in Rome that is held every evening during the months of June, July and August. The market is dedicated to Italian food, with local farmers selling their products, including hand-crafted Italian cheeses, cured meats and local wines, as well as street food stalls. It will be open all summer, until September 3rd, and there will also be fashion stalls, as well as live music and three cocktail bars, making it a great meeting place where you can mingle with the locals and enjoy the Roman lifestyle.

During the 10 weeks that the market will be open, the stalls will rotate weekly, offering culinary treasures not just from Rome, but also from the south and north of Italy, offering visitors diversity and a wealth of stalls to enjoy.

Where: Lungotevere Gianicolense (under the Gianicolense bridge between the Prince Amedeo Savoia Aosta and Ponte Mazzini bridges)

When: Daily from June 16th to September 3rd (from 6pm to midnight, staying open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays)
