Secrets of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's Venice wedding

On Saturday 27th September, one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors became a married man as George Clooney tied the knot with Amal Alamuddin at the stunning Aman Canal Grande resort in Venice.

Amal stunned in a custom-made Oscar de la Renta gown, which was adorned with French lace and embroidered with diamante and pearls. It featured a circular train and a wide neckline, which scooped just off her shoulders. Meanwhile, George chose a tuxedo designed by one of his favourites: Giorgio Armani. Well, who else?!

The happy, and clearly loved-up, couple wed at sunset in front of approximately 100 guests, including famous faces such as Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Anna Wintour and Bill Murray, who were treated to an incredibly romantic service, with vows that the couple wrote themselves and a beautiful arch decorated in white roses to match Amal’s bouquet.

It is reported that guests even received iPods holding a selection of songs specifically chosen by George and Amal, and enjoyed champagne and decadent canapés before sitting down to a five-course gourmet dinner, while listening to music performed by a small string orchestra. And the music didn’t stop there, with the party going on until the early hours accompanied by jazz music.

After making their union official with a short civil ceremony on Monday, the couple has headed off on honeymoon, reportedly to Marrakesh. We wish them all the best!
