Lucca Ristorante Buca di Sant'Antonio

Ristorante Buca di Sant'Antonio is located in a central location on Via della Cervia in Lucca's Centro Storico (Historic Centre). "Buca" is an ancient Tuscan word that roughly translates as "Taverna" or "Osteria", which hails to the historic nature of the restaurant as an old osteria. It is now managed by Franco Barbieri and Giuliano Pacini and it is rumoured that the restaurant was a favourite of Giacomo Puccini!

The food here is freshly prepared and home-made, including the pasta, which is made daily, and the meals are made with local produce. Dishes, such as farro soup and cod with chickpeas can be found on the menu, as well as a variety of pastas and pies. Dessert fans will love the Buccellato farcito alla crema di sottobosco, which is a Lucchesian cake filled with ice cream and served with a wildberry sauce.
